Padua sits at the centre of a densely populated area and is a hub of many commercial, educational and professional activities. For this reason, the FSI Group, through its owned FS Technology company (FST), has selected it as a living lab environment for deployment and experimentation of advanced solutions for its comprehensive digitalisation strategy.

Connected through Shift2Rail’s Interoperability Framework to operators Trenitalia, Bus Italia and the NUGO IT platforms (developed for the FSI Group by IP4MAAS project partner FST), the Shift2Rail IP4 technologies will be used to integrate all mobility options available throughout the Padua region into mobility packages centered around the specific requirements of citizens in the pursuit of their daily activities. This allows the FSI train and bus operators to leverage digitalisation for multiple mobility services, serving not only individual passengers but providing new mobility management services to city administrations, companies and universities.
